All of our ingots are 100% bottom poured from the same ladle directly following degassing. Bottom pouring and special flux covers inhibit the introduction of re-oxidized material resulting in exceptionally clean steel. Our tests show the cleanliness of our product consistently averages _^1/2 JK with excellent mechanical properties. The steel quality produced from a combination of ladle refining and vacuum degassing techniques with bottom pouring has reached a higher level of cleanliness, which is call “SDS AirMelt” grade.
